I have a secret. For all of you tourists and people trying to find the best place to watch the sunset in New York City, I found it. It's 1,500ft above the East River!

Sony has a lot of great cameras out now from the A7 line up to the newly announced A9 coming out soon. However, they're still trying to catch up on the glass game with their competitors. I've been shooting Sony for about a year and a half and still managed to hold on to a few Canon lenses that I can't bring myself to get rid of. There are also a few lenses that Sony hasn't even made at all yet, like tilt-shift lenses. I'm still new to using tilt shift lenses but I would LOVE for Sony to make a few...

I have a top travel tip for everyone who is on the move: Whenever you're in a new place, always try to get as high as possible! (Elevation, not drugs) Being up above everything gives you a great and different perspective on where ever you are in the world...

You can travel all around the world and keep hanging out at white sandy beaches or taking selfies at your resort pool but there are many other reasons to travel and see new places. This is a site that's truly unique to Thailand and is something that most likely wouldn't be replicated anywhere else in the world...

There is obviously a TON of amazing cityscapes to see from the sky and most of them give you a different perspective on every day things. Seeing skyscrapers from above is one thing but seeing bridges and rivers is another. For whatever reason, you really get a sense of scale with these things over the typical jaw dropping Freedom Tower and Empire State Building...

I'm taking a break from the air and am back on the ground now for this weeks photo of the week. I took advantage of a brief hour or so that I had to wander around downtown and almost forgot how much there is to photograph in this little area. Usually, photos are taken inside of the Oculus but it looks nearly as cool from the outside...

Another one of the Manhattan skyline but there was something unique about this day. This morning, New York woke up to a winter storm advisory with high winds and heavy snowfall. On my way to the office, it was nothing but pretty outside with the icy roads and extremely limited visibility...
Read MorePhoto Of The Week 43 - Blue Hour Freedom Tower - New York, New York
I keep getting these purple tones from these Freedom Tower photos. I posted an older image a few weeks ago that was similar in tone and this quickly reminded me of that. We just missed the sunset on this flight so we caught the cityscape just in time for blue hour. Blue hour is easily one of the best times for a FlyNYON flight because even though you don't get the nice warm glow of the sunset, you have the dark ambient light balanced out by all the twinkling city lights turning on bellow. It's really something that's truly unique to any photo experience...

Last week I took a trip to Arizona for a weekend trip in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. There were many things that impressed me about this small city and most of it were things that weren't even in the city itself...
