I figured I would follow up the ending of my Cuba blog with a more detailed look at one of the photos from the post. Upon closer look, there are a few things that stand out to me about this image.
This was taken at a building where we had lunch on a rainy day. It was a happy coincidence that the restaurant was in a place that screamed Cuba. Very classic looking and run down. This was one of my favorite locations to shoot throughout the whole trip despite it being difficult to walk around the streets due to the poor weather.
The two things that stand out to me are the classic Cuban cigar matching with the whole look at the window frame and balcony where he was standing. Also, as I mentioned in my last Cuba blog post, we started to recognize a thing that we referred to as "Cuba Time". Since everything and everybody moves in slow motion out there, you can't expect to be in a rush to do anything. The whole "looking at my watch" pose will always remind me of that aspect of this trip.
