Every summer I have a small list of things I love to do and if all goes to plan, I get to do at least all of them once. I try to go to the waterpark at least once, I like to take a few days to go down to Atlantic City and I do my best to at least go to Coney Island a couple of times. This was my first and hopefully not the last Coney Island trip this year and even though I didn't go on any rides, it was still worth the trip.
Coney Island is a great place to shoot photos. It's colorful, dynamic and unique in a sense that it has a lot of different scenes to offer. The most iconic thing there, of course, is the famous parachute jump. Like everything else I photograph, I was looking for a different way to go about capturing it. My girlfriend, Amanda, was with me and I had a last minute idea to try to get a silhouette next to the parachute jump. It took a few tries but a few ninja moves later, I was able to get exactly what I initially pictured. I guess I can check this one off the list for summer '16.
