Have you ever gotten that feeling of being home sick and you don't want anything else but to be in your bed watching TV? Well, I had the opposite of that! I feel like I've been home for too long. I'm going on a trip next month but needed something sooner to hold me down. My girlfriend and I decided to take a quick trip to the Florida Keys which neither of us have been before.
Among the many beautiful sights out there, sunsets are one of the best. After not being able to get bikes from our hotel, The Gates, we decided to take a walk across the street when the sun was about to go down. I pictured some sort of silhouette but nothing particular in mind. I told Amanda to go across the street and I would try to scream to her over the traffic on advising her of what to do. Between the sun going down quickly, the amount of cars driving by and the lack of being able to really communicate with one another, this was a tricky thing to achieve. She put her arms up for a second and I was able to snap this one shot of her holding the sun before cars came into frame. I yelled for her to do it again for the next time there was a break in traffic but by that time, the sun was already too low. The first one was perfect anyway, I just wanted another shot but I guess that's what makes this photo more unique.
