Earlier in the year, I moved to a new part of Staten Island which I haven't really explored much before. Since the weather has been getting really nice lately, I've been exploring all the parks in my neighborhood. Just a few blocks from my house, there happens to be probably the nicest park in this borough, Snug Harbor.
I haven't been to Snug Harbor since I was a kid so I sort of forgot what it was all about. The children's museum I used to love is still there but there's also a ton of gardens and cool greenery that you don't often see in NYC. This particular tunnel caught my eye and my girlfriend, Amanda, decided to do a nice little twirl right where the sun peeked through.
I shot this wide open on the Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 and was delighted to see how incredibly sharp it was wide open and that there was almost no chromatic aberration like I'm used to from my old Canon 85mm f/1.8 which was insanely bad. WOW, Zeiss! I'm eager to get more Batis glass!
