This is a continuance of my Proppa Trip To London post last week. After spending a few days in the United Kingdom my girlfriend, Amanda and I took a train to Paris. Paris is such an artsy city and it's such an inspiration for people like myself and other photographers and artists to visit.
Obviously being in Paris you have to see the Eiffel Tower. Being from NYC I'm used to tall buildings and sky scrappers but the tower was so much more impressive than just a tall building. Almost anywhere you are in the city you can see this huge thing sticking out of the skyline looking unlike anything else you normally see in a city.
I thought it would be cool to walk to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Being able to see the structure of the metal frame is cool to me. It's also something you don't get to see with skyscrapers taking an elevator to the observation deck. According to Amanda's Apple Watch, it was the equivalent of climbing 41 stories.
Being from New York City, it's hard to be "WOW'd" by other cities in the world. I wouldn't necessarily say I was super impressed with London and Paris themselves but it was so refreshing to shoot in new cities. Every block you turn down you see something new. Traveling always helps my photography because I always bring home a new vision and a new way to look at the same place I've spent the last 27yrs of my life.
